Multiplication Dice Game

My students have been hard at work learning their multiplication facts. This weekend I made game boards for them to use to review their facts alone or with a friend. Of course this product needs tested out, so what does my loving husband agree to do on a Saturday night? Test it out! Yes, we live exciting lives here in cold Ohio!

I don't have dice at home so I downloaded the iPad app "Dice" for free.
The object of the game is to roll two dice, add them together, then multiply by the number reviewed on the game board. We were playing x2 and x5 so we could choose which number to multiply the rolled number by on our turn. The tricky part is that you can steal another player's spot by placing your chip on top of theirs. Once a spot has two chips, the spot is locked. You can also lock your own spots by stacking your chip on top of the other on another roll. For the two-fact games, the person to reach 10 spots first is the winner. For a single-fact game, you win with 5 spots.

I will admit that we played with three different game boards tonight. Of course for testing the product purposes only! ;)

Below is a video of some of my math students in action. They were working on their x 8 facts.

Samples of the games are shown below. If you'd like to purchase these 16 game boards, they are available in my TpT Store here.

Happy teaching,
Amber
