A View from My Classroom

This is my 11th year teaching. Like many other educators, my classroom has been a work-in-progress. Many ideas from my Pinterest school board has shaped my room. Take a look!

Back of the room view for first day

Lockers and Cubbies

Counter to turn in papers; Highlighting sign came from Mrs. Blas' Class Blog

They earn cherries on their cones.

I handed these out to students after school started. Get it from The First Grade Derby.
I made this frame from an old picture. I made the wording out of Trend Ready Letters. I glued them on construction paper, then cut it out around the letters. Finally, I attached them with Velcro for easy storage. It worked great!

Here is the finished product with a little sweetie!

I leave notes on my students' desks during recess with dry erase markers. They LOVE it! Idea from: Oh' Boy 4th Grade.

Behavior Wheel and Pencil Cups; Labels from Peace, Love, and Learning.

Class Name Quilt ~ I can't take credit for this great idea. My 3rd grade team had been making these years before I joined them. It's one of my favorite projects to begin the year!

Thanks for looking! Feel free to leave me any comments with questions you have about something you see here. I'd be happy to help! Have a great school year. :)
